Soldering POTs into a PCB

We've developed a technique for soldering in POTs to a PCB - getting them flat and straight.  Here's how it looks:

First we solder one end-lead into the board

then we pick up the PCB and press the pot nice and flat while we melt that one joint

then we solder the opposite end lead

we pick the PCB back up and melt that lead while we adjust the straightness of the pot until it looks as perpendicular as possible. having done so, we then solder the middle leads and we're done
